The purpose of using a hanging strop is not to deburr, but rather to finish the deburred edge by cleaning the apex and improving retention, without the use of abrasives. Among all hanging strops, the Kangaroo tail is the most effective in removing the wire edge.

The hanging strop can also be used for edge maintenance, being particularly effective in removing oxidation that forms on the edge during storage, thereby restoring the initial sharpness.

Every tail is different and all En Mina strops are made with natural veg tan kangaroo tail leather. The leather used to hold the ring and swivel is also kangaroo leather. Please note that the colour and sizing may slightly vary slightly from the pictures.
